Tennessee, Georgia Prepare for Louisiana Evacuees

Tennessee is preparing for 6,000 hurricane evacuees with 2,000 expected for Middle Tennessee as Hurricane Gustav bears down on the gulf coast, expected to reach Category 5 status near landfall early next week.

The State of Georgia, which is still trying to bounce back from tornado damage in its northern part, is preparing for sheltering 2,500 evacuees.

Parishes across the Louisiana gulf coast have ordered mandatory evacuations. And traffic going north is steady.
