Sean Braisted points out that TNGOP places little value on the dignity of the lives of African Americans who could have died in a failed assassination attempt. The Tennessee Republicans would have shown more class by shutting their mouths on the subject of a Tennessee skinhead's co-conspiracy to assassinate Barack Obama after massacring some African American teenagers. Instead, they minimized mass murder and mutilation to score partisan points for the McCain campaign by comparing assassination to social protest and vandalism. But then again, Republicans are not known for being exactly tough on major crime, unless it involves stapping an African American into an electric chair.
