It was not announced at Hull Jackson, in my neighborhood, nor other North Nashville community circles that I frequent.

I am sure MNPS has the capability to query the students that live in the 37208, 37209, and 37203 zip codes and conduct a mailing or robocall announcing this meeting.

Based on the background info in your blog post and the lack of marketing, I can only assume that the organizers did not intend to for the target audience to be representative of the North Nashville Community.Tene Hamilton Franklinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10635442.post-72334477447233445792011-10-05T10:08:57.968-05:002011-10-05T10:08:57.968-05:00Stand for Children has its own set of Trojan-horse...Stand for Children has its own set of Trojan-horse problems. Reportedly, SFC is prone to bait-and-switch (talking populist, walking venture-capitalist):

http://enclave-nashville.blogspot.com/2011/08/planting-seeds-of-doubt-keep-eye-on.html

http://enclave-nashville.blogspot.com/2011/07/how-things-start-in-grassroots-goodness.html

SFC also rakes in money and influence, and then throws their weight around:

http://enclave-nashville.blogspot.com/2011/07/founder-of-organization-that-partners.html

SFC recently touted their members winning Memphis school board seats. They are THE one-stop-shop for "advocacy" in Metro Nashville Public Schools (and, go figure, they endorsed Karl Dean last election). The corporate money is rolling into their coffers. Their increasing influence in Tennessee troubles me. We need to watch this organization very carefully, given their track record in other states.S-townMikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05948307051485318061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10635442.post-21155258225756102702011-10-05T09:42:35.928-05:002011-10-05T09:42:35.928-05:00On a different school note, Stand for the Children...On a different school note, Stand for the Children is having intercession meetings this month.
