Apologies to Nick Gilder, but there are a lot of hot city kids this weekend. Whew! We went from a pleasant evening at Greer Stadium in the low 80s (our 1st base line seats are in the shade from 4:30 on) to about 10 degrees higher back at home in Salemtown. Those meteorologists are not lying when they say the city retains more heat than the outlying areas. I couldn't even stay out on my porch without breaking a sweat. If the heat don't get you, the humidity will.
