Tonight's Salemtown Block Grant Citizen Advisory Committee Meeting

The CAC, with modest attendance, nudged forward a bit more tonight by discussing and prioritizing possible projects on which to spend block grant funds. Each attending member also voted for their top seven picks for possible projects.

Here are the top ten picks with the number of votes received:

1. Distinctive neighborhood identifying signs -- 7
2. Distinctive neighborhood entrance signs -- 6
3. Fixing the traffic speed & site problem at 3rd & Coffee -- 6
4. Lighting the alleys -- 6
5. Traffic calming medians -- 5
6. Paving unpaved alleys -- 5
7. Traffic calming bulbs -- 4
8. Decorative crosswalks -- 4
9. Street lights -- 4
10. Seed money for senior programming -- 4

A majority of the group voted to cancel the February meeting because it was scheduled to fall on Valentines Day. The next CAC meeting is scheduled for March 14.
