Are we seeing the earth-shattering results of Gannett's
new emphasis on local rather than national news in this morning's Tennessean? The local section leads with word that
a dead pig was found in the road in Clarksville. That's not exactly the kind of emphasis on hard local coverage that gets me excited. We look like Green Acres: "keep Manhattan; just give me that countryside."
But after all, this wasn't just any pig; it was "a fugitive potbellied pig".
ReplyDeleteA fugitive pig? I don't know enough about the crimes pigs commit to speculate about why he had become a fugitive, but I can tell you that no matter how tough that little porker was, there are a lot of neighborhoods around here that a pig wouldn't dare to enter.
