Ronnie Greer Brings Back Bill to Give Proselytizing Non-Profit $5,000

Despite warnings from Metro Legal that his resolution violates the 1st Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and despite the clearly defined proselytizing mission of the Nashville Inner City Ministry, Inc., Council Member Ronnie Greer put his request for $5,000 back on the January 16, 2007 Metro Council Meeting Agenda. The question remains: will Metro pay parochial NICMI thousands of public tax dollars, even if Council approves?
