Salemtown is turning in to a new hot spot, in spite of its notso-welcoming, current residents.I still don't know what the heck means. Maybe one of the half-dozen or so openly gay and lesbian neighbors who live on my block can explain "notso-welcoming" to me.
UPDATE: One of Salemtown's elected association presidents, Alan Maloney, was openly gay, and he is featured in a well-known Nashville GLBT publication from October 2007. If we would embrace Alan as our president, perhaps Church Street Freedom Press should reconsider its judgement of us as "notso-welcoming" to gays and lesbians.
