The Nation's Max Blumenthal goes over the top sometimes to make a point, but this video is right on target in getting to the hypocrisy of an unquestioned mantra in support of the President Bush's war and the general refusal among draft-age Republicans to volunteer to join our troops currently in Iraq. Be sure to listen to Tom Delay's jaw-dropping comments on what aborted fetuses could be doing right now if they had been born; it is a baronial and overweening theory on how to solve the illegal immigration problem.
Something doesn't jive when you talk about the general refusal among draft age Republicans to volunteer to join our troops.
Everything I have read indicates the troops are predominantly conservative and Republican. If the number of Dems and Republicans in this country are fairly evenly divided (or a majority Democrat and liberal, if you believe the Dems), yet the troops are predominantly conservative and Republican, wouldnt that lead you to believe Republicans are more likely to volunteer?
