Cooper Joins Blackburn and House Majority to Fight Newspaper Ads Rather than Terrorism

Seeming never to miss a Blue Dog's shot to posture the neo-con, our U.S. Representative Jim Cooper basically joined the coordinated distraction from the Bush failures in the Iraq War, and he voted to condemn a New York Times advertisement rather than working on meaningful legislation that actually accomplishes the business of the people.

Last week Bill Maher referred to the Republican-lead opponents of Moveon.org's Petraeus ad as "cry babies," whose only desire is to change the subject to anything but Iraq. It looks like 146 House Democrats voting "yea" have signed into the nursery today. We can only hope that the vote calms our local bawlers.
