So, what is it that makes Democrats Democrats? Pure fidelity to certain core values or a postmodern latitude that maintains that Democrats are whatever Democrats say they are?
Me? I'd say that Democrats are largely Republican replicants who play to lose.
UPDATE: Another example of playing to lose: avoiding attacking McCain on the very main points of his campaign. Is this 1988 and Dukakis all over again?
