"Plainly Audible" Noise Resolution Up for Final Council Passage Tuesday

On Tuesday night a resolution that would remove maximum decibel level restrictions from the noise codes and replace them with restrictions on noise that is "plainly audible" from the boundary of the nearest residential property will be up for third reading at Metro Council. The resolution would also add motor vehicle noise audible within 200 feet to the noise restrictions. Good luck with that one, Harley riders. I haven't heard much debate on this issue, and it seems to me to be more common sensical than expecting people to carry around decibel meters.
