Columnist Bites Dog

It is news when Gail Kerr writes a Tennessean column critical of one of Karl Dean's policies. She has read the Mayor's report and is skeptical. She seems to catch what some of us wonder: whether Dean's green initiative is just a going-through-the-motions addition to his trinity of education-public safety-convention center. With crime in my neighborhood going up, the quality of public education still in the balance, and a wavy, big-box, conventional center being proposed, Dean's flush to a Briley-lite is not enough to bring me on board.
