Sustainable Ag Already in the Bend: Benevolent, Organic Farm Showcased in the Tennessean

Some Bells Benders are not waiting around for Tennessee State University to get a land donation to show them the way on sustainable agriculture:
Sulphur Creek Farm is one of four properties in the Bells Bend Neighborhood Farms CSA cooperative. The community wants to develop sustainable agriculture, so that people in Nashville get their food from 10 minutes away rather than thousands of miles away. Sulphur Creek provides the vegetable garden as well as fruit and honey production.
According to the Tennessean, these farmers provide food to the Farmers' Market, Tayst, Capitol Grille, and Caffe Nonna. Please patronize those businesses and tell them you appreciate their healthy and sustainable connections to Sulphur Creek Farm. The farm also donated 1,500 pounds of vegetables to Second Harvest Food Bank two weeks ago.

The farmers also host a blog where you can follow and comment on their progress. Please support sustainable agriculture in the Bend now.
