Word
emerged last week that one of Karl Dean's staffers corresponded with arch-conservative Eagle Forum in order to dispatch next election a CM who did not acquiesce to the Mayor's convention center program. Today comes news,
via Post Politics, that Hizzoner the Mayor himself will be
breaking bread with conservatives tomorrow. Could this reflect a hedge after passage of the nondiscrimination bill for Metro employees, confidence that he has the liberal voting wing tied down, or a bona fide trend of his
Log-Cabin leanings?
Or it could be that he wanted a thoughtful dialogue with Nashvillians who have a larger perspective on the future of the city than just the special interests of a few cranky people who live to dominate their neighborhoods.
