ReplyDeleteNope. A couple of previous mixed use rezoning requests have failed at that corner even with neighborhood association request.
According to email I've read between the developer and Tim Walker at the Metro Historical Commission, the height is appropriate for Garfield, a major entrance to the neighborhood. It is also appropriate according to Mr. Walker on the edges. In fact, Salemtown already has three story homes on at its southern edge, which addresses the question about "fitting in with the neighborhood". The North Nashville Community Plan allows for higher density at intersections and moderate density in the middle of blocks.
.......so, whats the point about a 3 story house in the neighborhood in an urban core area? Seems like an odd question given what is going on all around us. I dont want my property value being capped by some opinion from someone who lives in a one story home.
