A husband is to love his wife as Christ loved the church. He has the God-given responsibility to provide for, to protect, and to lead his family. A wife is to submit herself graciously to the servant leadership of her husband even as the church willingly submits to the headship of Christ.
Why can't Congressman Steve Cohen (D-TN) compare community organizers to Jesus?
Barack Obama was a community organizer like Jesus, who our minister prayed about. [He was referring to the Christian minister who prayed to open the Congressional agenda; Cohen is actually Jewish, like Jesus was; hence, Cohen is also more like Jesus than Christians are].
Didn't Jesus more literally organize a community than be a husband to a literal wife?
