Computerworld Picks up Nashville's Laptop Theft Story

While I thought the Christmas Eve security breach of 337,000 voter records was newsworthy at the national level, I have seen little coverage of it outside of Nashville on it. Metro Government deserves to be somewhat more embattled by widespread news of their failures than they have been. Even the Computerworld story fails to mention the lack of alarms and the non-operating security cameras.

Computerworld also has a link to privacyrights.org's chonology of data breaches from 2005. It lends perspective on how big Nashville's breach is.
