What Do Ohio, Indiana, and New Mexico Have in Common?

They were all targets for GOTV organizing by residents of the Fifth Ward in Houston, Texas, a community where Barack Obama set up the first field organizing office of any Democratic presidential candidate in recent history. Kerry and Gore failed to establish a viable campaign presence there.

Today, Ohio, Indiana, and New Mexico are all blue for Obama, and I have no doubt that the community organizers in Houston and other places who made calls and trips to those states made a difference.
