The Soberfying Monkeys

Check any delusions of grandeur at the door:
In 1964, when Barry Goldwater was roundly defeated by Lyndon Johnson, there was much talk of the death of the GOP, or at least the need for a radical reorientation thereof. Four years later, the Republicans were back in the White House.

In 1972, when Democrat George McGovern was overwhelmed by Richard Nixon, the Democrats were written off as an effective national force. Four years later, the Democrats were back in the White House.

  1. You know what you get in a four year period? Another set of Americans between 18 and 21.

The juxtaposition of relating elections in the past to today's is largely invalid due to the fact that most people had no idea what Nixon/Cheney/Rumsfeld did a year later. There was no internet. No place to record and store the information at our fingertips.

The crimes of the Bush Administration and the pure evil of their supporters is now recorded forever. There for the viewing for anyone to study.
In four years the next four sets of 18 to 21 year old voters will be fully informed and therefore, the evil will not slip away with yesterday's news.

Vigilance against vote fraud, active blogging, ect will keep the Republican party out of the picture for decades to come. As long as Barack Obama is true and not a lying sack of shit like every other President since Carter.

Only time will tell, but we have an easily accessible historical record to teach our children with so that when it comes time for them to vote they will have the tools they need to protect themselves from Fascist Republican deception and the evil that comes with it.

The Republican party is dead with the exception of Tennessee. And we'll do away with them eventually.
