Perhaps the only solace for those who would like to see greater balance between development special interests and community quality of life in the planning process is that with Gotto we have to stay on our toes. We don't have the convenience of letting our guards down, because CM Gotto can be relied upon to enable untrammeled growth.

Developer-Friendly CM Re-elected by Council to Planning Chair, Commission
Jim Gotto was the only candidate to run tonight for the council Planning and Zoning committee chair, which includes an appointment to a voting position on the Planning Commission. So, naturally, Gotto won. During his past tenure in that position, CM Gotto tried unsuccessfully to ramrod commission approval for May Town Center, supported allowing LED signs in residential neighborhoods, and moved to spot zone for a private school LED before the LED task force could make its recommendations.
