She no doubt underscores the "My" in "This Land is Your Land"

When Kay Brooks is taking her cue from populist folk songs, something has gone desperately wrong on the right.  Woodie Guthrie wrote "This Land is Your Land" as a protest against Irving Berlin's "God Bless America." It's been covered by 60's counter-culture artists Bob Dylan and Peter, Paul, and Mary.

For the likes of Kay Brooks and Michelle Malkin to appeal to it is not only ironic, it deconstructs most of the right-wing, pro-Christian, "libertarian" clap trap they're so fond of.

Be careful what you wish for, Kay Brooks. A land that belongs to every peon is not in the GOP platform.
