I caught MSNBC's David Gregory last night promoting John McCain as an effective alternative to the Bush economic policy in the wake of yesterday's market crash essentially because Sarah Palin holds down the social conservatives for him while he can play up his ethics reform background and promote tighter regulations against the broad latitude of the Bush Administration. He said something to the effect that it will definitely work.
Somebody needs to remind MSNBC that John McCain votes with George Bush 90% of the time. How can a Senator who failed to stand up to George Bush merely in order to win his party's nomination be counted on to turn back the anti-regulation wave of the Bush years?
