States Ask Obama for Their Share of Stimulus Package
Governors ask for $136 billion for infrastructure projects and $40 billion to bolster Medicaid for poor and disabled. I just wonder whether Tennessee should expect anything at all between Phil Bredesen's cool treatment of the Obama campaign and the slash and burn Republican control of the General Assembly (if TNGOP is going to orchestrate state budget cuts, then why not just turn off the federal spigot of programs to the Tennessee ingrates likewise?).
