By the way, to get credit approval for construction, Mayor Karl Dean obligated the General Fund, which pays for sidewalks, parks, police, and the lion's share of Metro services that service us. In essence, if Metro cannot meet its obligations to creditors to serve the tourism industry, Nashvillians could suffer fewer services.

What? Me worry? |
Time to hold a raffle!
ReplyDeleteExactly. I don't think we can afford to keep the MCC. Time to look for a buyer to get out from under this.

ReplyDeleteWe haven't had sidewalks for years hardly anywhere in my part of town. Though Megan Barry got some on her street about 8 months ago. Go see the new concrete for yourself. This was not even a major walking area, but she got them put in anyway. I think her part of town is getting a lot of things. Maybe because she has Randy Rayburn on her side. Now that i say that, Sunset Grill is near her house. Maybe her voters walk to his place.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure you are correct Mike? Doesn't this just fall in as a part of the $60M contingency? Where have other contingency dollars been spent?
