Mayor Karl Dean's Budget Cuts Could Lead to 200 Fewer Officers on Streets

Nashville's "thin blue line" is going to get thinner.

Does Nashville feel safer since Karl Dean took office in 2007? One of his campaign promises was to make us safer from crime. I don't see how cutting police forces is going to enhance public safety.

  1. Do you think it may be a smoke screen to go back on his promise and raise property taxes?

  2. I don't know but I don't have a problem with paying more taxes for better crime stoppers and first responders.
