Nashville Faith-Based Leader Among Signers of Letter Calling for Resignation of Those Who Knew of Foley's Sexual Predatoriness
Baptist Center for Ethics Director Robert Parham of Nashville co-signed a letter with other religious leaders to Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Dennis Hastert, charging a "moral failure" by the Republican Party Leadership in knowing about Congressman Mark Foley's sexual abuse of minors and attempting to hide that information. Faithful Dems has a copy of the letter sent to Hastert today. No local religious conservative was among the signers; in fact, I do not recognize any religious conservative from any place among the signers. Focus on the Family leader James Dobson blamed society. Hey, wait just a minute; isn't that what conservatives usually accuse liberals of doing: ignoring personal responsibility?
