Cutting Yourself is a Cry for Help
Tennessean blogger Michael Cass has a report on the coming cuts to local services. Many of our kids no longer have the benefit of open communities centers on weekends, but thank heavens Metro's vital golf courses may be spared the Mayor's axe. Would you believe that after the Christmas Eve laptop heist the Metro Election Commission is not proposing more security for their offices? And in perhaps the most obscene expression of cynical governance, Social Services, whose very purpose is to help poor people, is proposing to cut meals to poor people in order to keep its travel budget intact.
