Last night's Walk Against Crime around the North End included over 40 people, doubling last year's Night Out efforts. Salemtown Neighbors was joined by several members of Historic Germantown and Salemtown TRUE association, and they all beat the heat by passing out candy and glow necklaces along the way to emphasize the National Night Out theme of lighting up the night. Police mounted on horse back and motorcycles escorted the walkers through the streets, and neighbors and children joined the parade as it wound through the North End.
