Nashville Charrette: Do Yourself the Favor of a Visit

A small local group has just started up a "new urban design/planning forum" on-line called Nashville Charrette (a dictionary defintion of "charette" is an urban planning technique designed to diffuse the potential confrontation between residents and developers through joint ownership of solutions to problems and on-going consultations between all stakeholders). Their site looks promising: besides various discussions on the development and form of our city, Nashville Charrette also has a calendar of relevant local events of interest (the May 19 public meeting at the Downtown Public Library introducing the master plan for the new ballpark is listed and described). Morgan Park Place and Salemtown's periodic gang issues have come up for discussion over the last couple of days.

I have linked Nashville Charrette permanently in the right-hand column in the "Links for the Neighborhoods" box. So, stroll on over to the site and join in the discussion. I joined the forum today. The more, the better.
