Community Policing in the Central Precinct
One of the good friends we made since moving to Salemtown is Officer Dana Lyons from Metro's Central Precinct. Dana stops by to visit whenever she sees us on the porch or working in the yard. She stopped by tonight and sat a spell on the porch with us to chat. She gave us the good news that the Police Department is assigning two officers from each precinct to work with detectives on the Gang Unit to help solve crimes around the city. Dana also let our gleeful two-year-old sit behind the wheel of a bona fide police crusier. We are really thankful that we have community-minded police officers in Central like Dana.
