Craddock Clamps Down on Itinerants
No one would ever accuse Metro Councilman Michael Craddock of having a big heart, like Mayberry's Sheriff Taylor, and looking after the small corner merchant who, in the words of fictional big-box retailer Ben Weaver, "Doesn't have a proper structure." Bruce Barry has the details on Craddock's crusade at last night's council meeting. Is Craddock supposed to be modeling the conservative ideal of a free market?
