Military Bill Earmarks Benefit Corporate Donors
NY Times has the list of top defense companies receiving non-competitive earmarks in the latest defense bill. Two contractors on the list, BAE and ProLogic, are currently under federal investigation. 35 million tax dollars are earmarked to go to these two companies. Earmarks can create conflicts of interests and backroom manipulation of congressional votes.
