Hopkins' "Dropout Factory" Study of High Schools May Be Outdated
Metro Nashville Public Schools maintains that the John Hopkins study that concluded that 8 Nashville Schools are "dropout factories" was based on outdated data. WPLN reports that Rutherford County schools also underscored flawed figures leading to the Hopkins conclusions. Both Davidson and Rutherford report improvement in graduation rates in some of the schools mentioned in the Hopkins study.
