If You Say So, TNGOP

Apparently, TNGOP Chair Robin Smith has had enough of the maelstrom of prejudice that she and Communication Director Bill Hobbs generated this week, causing our state to be seen internationally in an unattractive light. She tells the Tennessean:

We’ve removed the middle name and the press release and understand that the focus needs to be that Louis Farrakhan, the anti-Jew minister of the nation of Islam, endorsed Barack Obama.
Perhaps, but we can still focus on Ms. Smith's glib and disrespectful response a few days ago to the question of whether there are any negative connotations intended in the overemphasis on Senator Obama's middle name:

You can call his momma and daddy on that one.
Leave it to TNGOP to piss on a son's memory of his deceased parents in the name of a few more votes.
