The Real Estate Section Of This Week's Nashville Scene Looks Like A North End Centerfold, Updated

Besides the usual smattering of attractive Germantown properties for sale, the Scene's classified residential section prominently advertises several properties worth noting.
  • 5th Avenue Brownstones has been running an ad for several weeks, and it seems to be working as before ground has even been broken developers report that 2 of the 10 townhouses are under contract.
  • Garfield Place has a bold green ad occupying a quarter of a page.
  • Riverfront Condominiums makes its own splash with an impressive mock-up of how the Bicentennial Mall area complex (the only residential complex in the Downtown area on the river) will look once renovations are complete.
In other unrelated news, Mark Deutschmann over at Village Real Estate has assumed the marketing reigns of the new duplex pictured below. The townhouses are located on 5th Ave. between Hume and Garfield Streets and the daily progress of their construction is being pictorially documented by John H. at This New House. A developer tells me that several potential buyers are even flying in from out-of-state to look at the new digs. Deutschmann will also be coming on board to market the as yet unconstructed Salemtown Gardens at the corner of 6th and Garfield.

Finally, I have seen designs for a new, but as yet unannounced, townhouse development planned for 6th Avenue in Salemtown. The plans as told to me seem to fit in with the character of the North End. Enclave will have more details when and if those plans become less preliminary.
