Habitat VP Says Tygard Ad Reflects Personal Opinion of Homeowner

I e-mailed Chris Clarke, Habitat for Humanity International's Senior Vice President, in order to ask whether he was concerned that a Charlie Tygard campaign commercial displaying "Habitat for Humanity" could appear to be a political endorsement of Tygard. Here is Mr. Clarke's reply:

The homeowner [who appears in the Habitat for Humanity portion of the Tygard ad] reflected her personal opinion. Her opinion is not the opinion of Habitat as she does speak on behalf of the organization.

I do not see much concern about the Tygard ad in that reply.
