CRIME ALERT: Police Debunk Rumor That Salemtown Burglary Suspects Apprehended

If you thought you could relax in the belief that police MIGHT have apprehended Thursday's burglary suspects, well, you cannot. Here is the latest update, including a detailed description of the suspect, straight from the Central Precinct to Salemtown Neighbors Neighborhood Association:
No one was arrested for the burglary. However, we do have a good description of the person responsible for it. He was described as a Male black adult, approx 20 years old, 5 ft 6 in 160 lbs, wearing a skull cap, black mid-length jacket, black jeans. He fled on foot to a Toyota Camry 4door green which had dark tinted windows and a temporary tag. He drove off going north on 5th Av N. If you have any idea who it is or see this vehicle please call crime stoppers at 74-Crime (742-7463) or 862-7044 (which is our precinct detectives main line).

An unrelated post to the HistoricGermantown website provides different information regarding the model of the car and rather nondescript descriptions of the suspects. It is not clear whether or not these are the same suspects:
At this morning's roll call, it was brought up that there's been several break ins in the Germantown area. The burglaries have occurred during the day while people are at work. The thieves have been seen leaving one of the break ins and described as two black males and one black female driving an older, green Toyota Corolla with temporary (dealer drive out) tags. If you see anyone in the area fitting the description, call 862-8622, Metro police immediately. Electronic equipment, including large flat screen TVs are among the items reported stolen.
So, until we get clarification, keep an eye out for a green Camry and a green Corolla with either one or three people in it.
