Jackson launches some realism about the half-way point we have reached in the off-year election process. It won't be over after the polls close; a whole new phase is beginning. Republicans, who act like self-proclaimed tort-reformers about other people's money, have their lawyers warming in the bullpen and the meter is running. The Dems have theirs, too, but what I'm generally seeing from Democratic bloggers is an emphasis on contacting nonpartisan watchdog groups about irregularities. The latter is definitely a higher road than the former.
I didn't vote for a Democrat or a Republican in this election, but I do want to side with the Dems on the need to contact nonpartisan watchdogs rather than party lawyers. If you encounter any irregularities at your polling place today contact these groups:
