Tennessee Senators Vote Against Ending Debate, Which Is A Vote For President's Troop Escalation
Both Republican U.S. Senators from Tennessee, Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander, voted against a motion in the Senate today to end debate and to consider the Warner Compromise Resolution, which takes issue with George W. Bush's intention to send between 35,000 and 48,000 more troops to Iraq. I guess they believe that they have a mandate to continue the Administration's cyclic status quo in Iraq.
