Hitchens Submits to Waterboarding and Questions the Government's Integrity
He concludes that the Bush Administration is actually aiding the enemy and sacrificing any claim that we may have in the future that our troops not be tortured. "[I]f waterboarding does not constitute torture, then there is no such thing as torture." Indeed, all of these Pentagon qualifications and nuances on state-sponsored brutality and stacked abuse of human beings amount to meaningless rationalization.
