Latest Census Analysis Sustains Reality of a Yawning Income Gap

Before the typical accusations of "class war" start, just keep this in mind: this conflict is about a difference in vision of what rationally constitutes a good society; hence, this is virtual shot in the culture wars, and it has nothing to do with class war. Some of us are of a culture that holds we cannot call ours a good society when it permits weaker links to slip through safety nets while subsidizing the strong in other ways. So, before you accuse me, use the correct labels.

  1. Properly defined, the war is whether we as individuals have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness or whether the government should have the powert to mortgage our lives in the name of the "needy".
