Buena Vista Block Grant Beginning to Generate Results

If you have not yet made your way down Monroe Street west from 8th Avenue, North, you might not have seen the construction on the Historic Buena Vista Neighborhood's Gateway Project.

The streetscape plans call for a traffic-calming median, landscaping, a crosswalk, and gateway signage (which takes the form of the rose window in the church pictured above).

The Salemtown block grant is awaiting clarification from MDHA as to the results of the design team selection process. As a participant in that selection process, I am not at liberty to say much about it, except that we should probably hear results in September.
