Just got back from Megan Barry's post-election celebration, which was energetic and hopeful about the run-off, even as there was a bit of disappointment about just falling short of the needed 10% to avoid the run-off. The candidate was gracious in her thanks in a speech to all of her supporters.
We watched the returns on several TVs and Megan's husband, Bruce, kept the totes on what he called "The Big Board." I had the chance to debate election fall-out with Mary Mancini of Liberadio. I met P.J. Tobia, a Nashville Scene writer, and Hedy Weinberg of the local ACLU.
